A little about me for those who might wonder who the hell I am and where did I come from. This particular page is really nothing about my tattooing or artwork, more of a personal section for those of you who might want to know who I really am. I am an Alaskan to the core, more at home miles out in the wilderness, away from what you call civilization and away from all the bs living around people brings with it. Those of you who have watched the TV program "Most Dangerous Catch" have seen where I grew up, of course back in the 60's and 70's it was a lot different, a totally desolate place with none of the stuff you have today. No radio, TV, or phones back then, more like the wild west and let me tell you to say it was wild then would be an understatement. Doctors and medical care was a plane ride into Anchorage, and then it depended on the weather.

When I finally did move to "civilization" in the middle 70's it was a hell of a culture shock and something that I never could really adjust to long term which is why at time I have a tendency to vanish and end up back up in the wilderness for periods of time. There is nothing that will clean all the garbage that builds up out better that going into the wilderness and being with nothing but nature for several months at a time. I picked a hell of a career, one that you have to be around people, but as long as I can get away to clean myself out on occasion its all good. Some might call me a nomad or a wanderer, but over the years I have pretty much seen and done almost all there is to do and see in this world, both the bad and good, and have seen the worst and best that people are capable of. No regrets though, as tattooing has helped me to meet a lot of interesting people. During breaks from time to time I have explored a lot of different careers, from construction and concracting, computer engineering and programming, commercial fishing in Alaska,

Technology consulting, spending a stint in the Marines (that didn't go all that well as I am really not one who like being told what to do), and even becoming an ordained minister and getting my doctorate degree in Divinity. Over the past 49 years I have done pretty much whatever I wanted when I wanted to do it. Rode with the Boozefighter's MC in Ft. Worth Texas, I have worked in quite a few tattoo shops over the years, some good, some bad, but I sure met a lot of interesting people and made a few good friends. I gave Shawn Michaels (wrestler with the WWE) his first tattoo, hung out with Pantera in Ft. Worth before they were big time, and in general had a blast. Those who know me know I don't do people all that well except in short stints, but they know that I give it my best and have never had a customer that was unhappy when I was through.
